It has a very welcoming atmosphere and the staff is attentive. The best part is the food. Full of flavor and the portions are more than enough for a great price range.
Chayos is a classic mexican eatery, it's the quintessential menu of homestyle Mexican cooking. It has plenty of menu choices to choose from and they have a very good breakfast menu. They have good drinks with of course mexican flavored waters(horchata,Jamaica) and serve soda pop as well. The staff is very attentive and the prices are very good. For 2 people you can average out between 10 to 12 dollars for both meals with drink included. They accept credit cards and also have an exchange rate sign for your convenience. The atmosphere is relaxed and above all the food is very good.

This is our family favorite to eat if you wanna eat posole, sopes and Tacos of Papa, the food here is Calimax, very different from Tex-Mex, but it’s very Americanized and great for American families. My family has been coming to this restaurant since the 70s.
Delicious , this is a classic Mexicali "cenaduria", with really Mexican dishes, we remember with nostalgic Dona Chayo
The food is very good and inexpensive. Tried the mushroom omelette and it was excellent.
